Shepherd's Pie

Bottom layer all mixed together:
1 lb ground beef, previously browned
1 can tomato soup (if it's too thick, add another half can)
1 can green beans or favorite veggies
dried onion, other favorite seasonings to taste

Top layer:
Mashed potatoes with melted cheese on top

Bake in oven until warmed all the way through and cheese is melted - 350, about 25 minutes

  1. You beat me to Shepherd's Pie. My recipe is a bit more complex, and like with most things I make, I never measure.

  2. I love this one! I also substitute the mashed potatoes with tater tots from time to time :)

  3. Shepherd's pie by definition is anything the shepherd has available to put in- but it always has mashed potatoes (and cheee if you like) on the top. I have seen it with sausage instead of hamburger and spaghetti sauce instead of soup. It can also have peas or corn instead or along with green beans. Anything goes!
